About CatAdviceHub
Practical, honest cat advice for people who want to do right by their cat. No clickbait, no sponsored fluff, and no pretending to be vets.
Why this site exists
A lot of cat content online is written to rank, not to help. It’s padded with filler, light on sources, and recommends whatever earns the biggest commission. CatAdviceHub is our answer to that: clear explanations of why cats do what they do, everyday care that’s checked against veterinary sources, and honest product and book picks.
We’re a small team of cat owners. We don’t accept sponsored placements or free products in exchange for coverage. Some links are Amazon affiliate links, and we earn a small commission if you buy through them. That’s our only commercial relationship, and it never decides what we recommend.
Meet Lokee
Lokee was born in our backyard, where her mother had a litter, and she has been family ever since. She’s very lovable and playful, still loves being outside, and her favorite place is lying right next to us.
She sheds moderately and loves being brushed, has lots of toys, and her favorite is a crinkly ball. Today she’s on a vet-directed kidney diet, which is a big reason senior-cat care is close to our hearts, and why we always send health questions to the vet.
Our promises
No sponsored content
No paid placements, no products gifted in exchange for coverage. Amazon affiliate links are the only commercial relationship, and we disclose them on every page that has them.
Checked against vet sources
Health, behavior and care facts are checked against sources like the Cornell Feline Health Center, the AAFP, the ASPCA and International Cat Care, and we link to them.
We’re not vets
We’re informed cat owners, not veterinarians. Anything that looks medical, and any sudden change in behavior, should go to your vet.
Frequently asked
Who writes the articles?
The CatAdviceHub Team, a small group of cat owners. We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts, and for behind-the-scenes work like sitemaps and image optimization. Every article is then reviewed, fact-checked against sources and edited by our team.
How do you fund the site?
Through the Amazon Associates program. When you buy through one of our Amazon links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We don’t run sponsored posts.
How do you pick products and books?
Products: we start from what a cat needs according to veterinary guidance, compare options against that, and only recommend things we’d consider for Lokee. Books: we read every one we review. More in our Editorial Standards.
Can you help with my cat’s health problem?
We’re not able to give advice about an individual cat’s health. If your cat seems unwell or suddenly changes behavior, please contact your veterinarian.
